The Titanic offered a variety of dining experiences across its three classes. The Third Class menu, while simple, provided nourishing meals for its passengers.
THIRD CLASS MENU ON THE TITANIC (1912)
Breakfast typically consisted of oatmeal porridge with milk, vegetable stew, fried tripe and onions, bread and butter, marmalade, Swedish bread, tea, and coffee. Lunch offered a heartier meal with bouillon soup, roast beef and brown gravy, boiled green beans, potatoes, cabin biscuits, bread, and prunes and rice.
Dinner, the main meal of the day, often featured a traditional roast beef dinner, a staple of the time. This meal would have been a welcome change for many Third Class passengers, who may have been accustomed to simpler fare.
Throughout the day, fresh bread and fruit were available at every meal, ensuring a balanced diet. While the Third Class menu may not have been as elaborate as those offered to First and Second Class passengers, it provided sustenance and comfort to those traveling in this class.
